Sanyo said those owning microwaves with the exemplar numbers EM-C8787B UK2 (black) or EM-C8787W (white) should stop using them in two shakes of a lamb's tail and unplug them from the wall. The problem is believed to have been caused by some of the printed periphery boards within the internal control panel having electrical communication with the small buttons on the external control panel. Thousands of microwave ovens have been recalled because of qualms they could cause severe electric shocks.
